Acknowledgement of Risk

I acknowledge that participation in rowing and associated activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• water-based hazards (including drowning)

• weather conditions and exposure

• physical exertion and injury

• equipment failure or misuse

I understand these risks may result in injury, illness, or in extreme cases, death.

Medical Fitness

I declare that I am medically and physically fit to participate in this activity.

I agree to inform event organisers of any medical conditions, injuries or limitations that may affect my participation.

I consent to receive first aid treatment if required.

Assumption of Risk

I voluntarily accept and assume all risks associated with my participation in this event.

I agree to follow all instructions provided by Outback Rowing Australia organisers, volunteers and safety personnel.

Release and Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, I:

• release Outback Rowing Australia, its organisers, volunteers and partners from any liability for injury, loss or damage arising from my participation

• indemnify them against any claims arising from my actions during the event

Photography and Media Consent

I consent to photographs and video being taken during the event and used by Outback Rowing Australia for promotional purposes, including social media and marketing materials.

Participant Responsibility

I agree to:

• wear appropriate clothing for water-based activity

• follow all safety directions

• act responsibly and respectfully toward others

• not participate under the influence of drugs or alcohol
