A celebration of community, connection, and momentum
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2025 Outback Rowing Season Launch — and to those who couldn’t be there in person but sent messages of support from afar. Your energy, encouragement and belief in this growing movement continue to fuel what we’re building.
This launch wasn’t just about kicking off another season of rowing. It marked the next chapter in something bigger — a community-led movement that’s bringing rowing to the bush, restoring old boats with new purpose, and reimagining what a regatta can look like when it’s paired with outback hospitality, dusty roads, and wide skies.
What We Celebrated
✅ The rollout of regional programs giving small towns their first-ever taste of rowing ✅ A growing fleet of beautifully restored boats, ready to hit the water ✅ A new era of inland and coastal convoys, where racing is just one part of the adventure
Outback Rowing started with one event — Head of the Outback — and has become something so much more: A destination. A community. A movement that connects people through sport, storytelling and the shared spirit of the regions.
Launch Night Highlights
Seven new boats christened, each with its own story and future crew
Inspiring reflections from David, Toby and Murray on the journey so far
A shared sense that we’re only just getting started
