Event Waiver

Acknowledgement of Risk

I acknowledge that participation in rowing and associated activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

water-based hazards (including drowning)
weather conditions and exposure
physical exertion and injury
equipment failure or misuse

I understand these risks may result in injury, illness, or in extreme cases, death.

Medical Fitness

I declare that I am medically and physically fit to participate in this activity.

I agree to inform event organisers of any medical conditions, injuries or limitations that may affect my participation.

I consent to receive first aid treatment if required.

Assumption of Risk

I voluntarily accept and assume all risks associated with my participation in this event.

I agree to follow all instructions provided by Outback Rowing Australia organisers, volunteers and safety personnel.

Release and Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, I:

release Outback Rowing Australia, its organisers, volunteers and partners from any liability for injury, loss or damage arising from my participation
indemnify them against any claims arising from my actions during the event

Photography and Media Consent

I consent to photographs and video being taken during the event and used by Outback Rowing Australia for promotional purposes, including social media and marketing materials.
