BUSH KIDS ROWING PROGRAM – PARTICIPANT WAIVER AND CONSENT FORM

By registering your child for this event, I understand and agree to the following:

Assumption of Risk:
I acknowledge that participation in rowing activities carries inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, falls, collisions, drowning, and equipment failure. I voluntarily accept all risks associated with my (or my child’s) participation in the Bush Kids Rowing Program.
Health and Safety Declaration:
I certify that I (or my child) am physically fit to participate in rowing and related activities. I agree to inform Outback Rowing Australia (ORA) of any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or relevant health concerns prior to participation.
Supervision and Conduct:
I understand that all participants must follow instructions given by coaches, volunteers, and program staff. Inappropriate or unsafe behaviour may result in removal from the program.
Use of Image and Media:
I grant permission for ORA to use photographs, video footage, and testimonials of myself (or my child) taken during the program for promotional and reporting purposes, including on websites, social media, and publications. (If you do not consent, please notify ORA in writing.)
Indemnity:
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Outback Rowing Australia Inc., its officers, volunteers, sponsors, and partners against any claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from participation in this event.
Insurance:
I acknowledge that basic accident insurance is provided for participants registered with ORA, but this may not cover all expenses or liabilities. It is my responsibility to ensure additional cover if desired.
Transport & Supervision:
I understand that I am responsible for transporting my child to and from the event venue, unless otherwise arranged. While every effort will be made to ensure safety, supervision outside program hours is not the responsibility of ORA.
